When I check there’s a debit order for R167 which I’ve been reversing, the first one I didn’t get the money back because it was 40 days later. Forcing a person to come to the branch to reverse also *****s money from the client. Because you get an unauthorised debit order which you already have go through the agony of reversing but you are also paying the bank. They let the debit order through even if you don’t accept it on debit check.

I’ve always known ABSA to be ****** but this takes the cake. I am a premium account holder which comes with more charges, last week I was promised a portfolio manager as premium account holders have and I have not been assigned one. I see the case has been closed but I was not contacted nor is the information that I was sent correct. I see the transactions but the was also transfers of different amounts into the done on that evening. When I say I went to bed with R1600 it’s because I checked. I know for a fact that reversal of debit orders on accounts are not done by the system, a person actually goes and reverse. The reversals happened a day or 2 later. I’ve worked for ABSA for 8 years and have been a client for more than 23 years I know how the system works. I asked about the portfolio manager and the person who was helping me then said it’s very strange that you do not have o e assigned to you for this account. You are conveniently choosing what is going on on the account, like I mentioned when I went to bed there was more than enough. This means now that you are not benefiting on the overdraft you create charges, this totally *********. As you can see I was tracking my account movements. This systemic ****** and lack of proper customer service needs to be solved. And I am saying this because if experience and the different interactions that I’ve had with individuals this past month, one even told me I need to come downgrade my account.
