Customer not happy with service

I have tried to get ABSA to respond to 3 questions. This they didn't but felt it OK to close the case (c-***5). As one of the questions I had was "when did I instruct ABSA to put me onto their Notify Me package" - which I would have needed to do as I had never been on it, they could not tell me. But , if I wish to cancel , I need to go to a branch. Yesterday (9 February) I went to Clearwater Branch and waited 40 minutes before walking out without seeing a consultant. Whilst I understand it is a Sunday that length of wait I feel is not acceptable. There was no one at reception when I arrived and the receptionist appeared not too fazed that I was leaving. She did apologise though. So now ABSA need to clarify why I need to go to a branch (presumably to have proof of cancellation) to cancel Notify me but they cannot prove that I did request Notify me - i.e the interpretation is that they just put me on (they are charging me to send an SMS to me). To the best of my knowledge no other banks do this. I have informed ABSA that, due to their lack of responding to complaints on the Actionline, I will be logging complaints via HelloPeter because they then do respond,
