Current account not closed

I have received a call from ABSA on the 19th November 2021 and informing me about arrears on the current cheque account that I had with them, the consultant told me that the cheque account is still open and I am in arrears with R 10 360.80. Somewhere in 2017 or 2018 I went to the Absa Boulders Midrand branch to close that cheque account and Absa rewards and also requested the debit orders to be canceled. The consultant that who was assisting me confirmed that account is canceled as per my request and she also asked me what I want to do with my reward money. Since then I never receive any statements from Absa regarding this account I only received that call after years informing me that I am owing them and what is upsetting me is that I have a personal loan with Absa and I'm receiving the statements every month. I have not changed any of my personal details. The consultant who called me was very unprofessional and didn't what to listen to me. I know she was calling to collect but the way she was talking to me was not the right way.
