In September I took out a loan at ABSA and a debit order was set up for them to debit and I bank with them. Debit day came and passed and it was October around the 15th decided to go check my credit score to my surprise ABSA sent a report to the credit bureau saying I missed a payment. Money was on my account this whole entire time and they never tried to deduct anything. Wrote emails called their stupid call center and no one assisted. Contacted the consultant that assisted me and she tells me that because of systems the day I was in the debit order was not processed and I must come in to sort it out. Today the 28th is the day the debit order was suppose to go through last month, today it was processed without me going into the branch. So exactly who is lying and what is going on here in top of that ABSA added arrears interest on something that was not my own doing and mind you the consultant basically ****. This is not the first time a consultant from ABSa didn’t know what they were doing but with this one I need this thing sorted. I cannot pay for arrears interest that was not created by me and I need to know what is going on to think I left my bank that I had been banking with since I was 15years old for them was the worst decision I have ever made. Very angry and need answers.

05 Nov 2019, 19:18Thank you Rezona for escalating this matter until it got to the correct department. Sadly though I still didn't get proper feedback of what exactly caused the problem but neither the less thank you. It's unfortunate that as a customer you must come to Hello Peter to get attention.
