Credit Life Cover

In 2010 December I took an overdraft on my account with Absa Bank and I cancelled it few years after (between 2012 - 2013). When I took the overdraft it came with credit life cover on in fro the value of R23. The day I have cancelled it the employee who was helping me did not mentioned that I needed to close the credit life cover by calling a different department (Absa Life). Ever since I cancelled the overdraft at the branch, the amount of R23 have been debited from my account. I went to the branch few months ago to inquiry about this and they told me that its for the overdraft I had few years ago. I asked the consultant to cancelled it then. Even now it is still going out on my account. I went to the branch again inquiry and I was given a telephone number of Absa Life. When I called Absa Life today 13 November 2018. I was told by the tele consultant that I cannot get the money they have been debiting my account with since the credit life cover has been converted into Life cover. I did not know any of these until now. I was refered to go back to the branch that I closed the overdraft product with as they can be able to help me. I will go to the branch to get more help there I guess.

Financial companies are *********ly milking their customers with such products and redtape involved when they have to cancel.
