Credit check done on my name

I received a message from Transunion of which i was informed that a credit check was done on my name. Transunion then provided that a credit check was done on the 24th of October 2018 with the title: ABSA CARD followed by ABSA Bank Ltd 0 ********** 39 OTHER- AS

This is very disturbing because previously i had cases of identity theft where accounts were opened on my name. I went to the bank today and spoke to one of the consultants who informed me that nothing strange reflects thus far on the account, should i observe any unusual activities i should visit the bank again. This evening i have just received the following notification for a deduction i do not know, Absa: 02/11/18 SETTLEMENT/C - ACB DEBIT:EXTERNAL, UPS BRCUPS15_4545 -, R-99.00 I would like to find out who did the enquiry and why it was requested?

How do I stop this leading to some stranger getting stuff in my name.

Please help as this will affect my credit profile.
