Credit card wont work because of R58

Good day<br> <br> I flew down to Durban last week. My last night in Durban I caught a Uber to a restaurant, when I decided to get a Uber home, my account would not let me as my ABSA credit card had not done the previous payment.<br> I had to pay R300 to get a lift back home from a Normal Taxi.<br> <br> The next morning I had to catch a normal taxi back to the airport to head back to JHB, as I landed I went to the ABSA at OR Thambo and asked if maybe it was a FICA problem. They said that because I owed R1000 on my credit card and I had to pay R58 to be able to use my card. I said that I would pay the R1000 there and then so that I could catch a Uber home. They said that it would only reflect the next day and there was nothing they could do.<br> <br> I ended up having to catch another overpriced Taxi home.<br> <br> Nobody from ABSA called me to inform me that I needed to pay R58, yet every week I have ABSA calling me to upgrade my account and offer me higher credit. ABSA knows what money goes through my account and to close my card for R58 is ridiculous.<br> <br> I have been with ABSA for over 12 years but I have now opened a private banking account at STD bank, and will be moving all my accounts across.<br> <br>
