Credit card stayed open for 8 months!

I closed my Absa credit card in August last year. I kept getting emails of my statement but I called multiple times to check if it was cancelled and was told yes. Then I eventually got an SMS sayings that there is R5 owing on it. I called and they informed me that because of that R5 my account never was actually closed! I was absolutely furious. This is not on
