Credit Card Refund

I received a phone call and a SMS from a lady claiming to be from Absa regarding an refund on a credit card that I closed. The messages reads (A refund is due to you for interest/fees charged). I was requested to send a copy of Bank Statement or letter from my bank to confirm and ID docs. All documentation to be sent to [Email Removed] or for any Queries ***) FSP/NCRCP7.
I sent an Email to ABSA's Actionline to verify this message and got a response that this message did not originate from ABSA. A week later got the same SMS with the same request but this time A lady calls and says please ignore the email from Sasha Manikam SA's Actionline as this was sent to me in error.
I this is in fact a ********** message and phone call how is It possible that this person knows every bit of communication, messages and phone calls between ABSA and myself. the know who I spoke to, who e-mailed
me and even my old Absa credit card details. Someone in Absa bank is the giving out sensitive information of ABSA clients and dragging your name through the mud. You need to investigate who is giving out clients info and deal with this problem urgently so that I don't receive this again
