Credit card private banker

I have a credit card with absa private banker, called for settlement coat to close up account and I made that payment in the month of August 2025 till today my account has not been closed everytime I call about there is an outstanding amount that I have to pay, yet I did made a settlement, then today called Absa again still account is not closed and I was told that every day there is a fee charged yet it's absa that is not closing the accounts, service is terrible, even when I go to the branch they cannot assist, you get told to phone the call center. Why is it difficult to close the account yet it's easier when getting credit.
