COVID 19 VEHICLE PAYMENT RELIEF

Good day

I trust that this email finds you well, I received a call from one of your consultants this morning. I have Absa vehicle finance.

She was calling with regards to payment however the more I was explaining that I have opted for the payment relieve which was smsed to me. When I opted in it said that it will be processed within 48 hours during that 48 hours I would have expected Absa to call me and explain the terms attached to it with regards to the extention, I have searched the net and Absa website there is nothing about how long payment relieve will be extended for. the next sms I got a few weeks later was with my new contract date which ended 1 year from my original date. I was not happy with a extention of 1 year for 3months I went to Absa Bank and canceled the payment relieve and agreed to the lady on the phone she said if the debt order does not go off on my payment date can I please do an eft I said no problem that's fine with me. Which means I am missing 1 month of payment because Absa did not honor my previous month's debit due to their negligence not mine as I have not canceled the debit order. This consultant that called me demanded that I make a payment I have been layed off from work and I work in the travel industry not sure when I will return to work, but payment is not the problem as I have already agreed to pay the car. But demanding me to pay and then being rude on the phone asking me all kinds of 101 questions that does not concern her is another thing! And then just dropping the phone in my ear while I'm still talking is very unacceptable.

There was no communication to the above sms. I had no problem with this payment relieve except for the 1year extention that was not explained. I have the banking details and ref number to make payment. But your consultant was rude beyond measures.

Consultant name: Selina Bonakele.

I trust that this will be dealt with in the proper manner. I have been a honest paying customer not missing 1 month of payment on my vehicle and this is what I get? Honestly disturbed by this treatment.
