Cost of replacing damaged Absa debit card.
My housekeeper had to replace her Absa debit card recently because the chip was damaged. She was charged R140 in the branch for a new card. Why did she have to pay for Absa's poor technology??!! It is an outrage that Absa took this much money from a person who really can't afford it in these tough economic times for something that is not her fault. Incidentally, Absa charges more than the other banks for card replacement. Way to go Absa.
