Complaints and unhappy withe services

I went to the branch and ask the consultant to assist me to close my cheque account due to unemployment, since June. And Absa is busy charging me interest on the account. Now is up to - 6632. She referred me to collection and collections respond back to me that I should first settle the charges from them to close the acoount. I asked what if I agree on payment plan while the account is clesed as am not working. They did not buy my plea. I further send my query to complaints department till today Noone has responded. Absa customer service sometimes it's not helpful at all, they are good at frustrating clients more and more. Now am accumulating charges that I cannot pay due to unemployment. Can you please assist.
