Collin Molepe - Chief Executive Officer - Absa Insurance and Nancy Rudolph supports ignoring insurance claim for E/L NW Stephens

On Saturday 23 September 2023 at approximately 12:54 the afternoon we found that there was a break in at thechome of E/L NW Stephens.

Access was forcefully made through the kitchen door which, remains without glass, is unsecured and is damaged.

Several valuable items were ****** from inside the home belonging to ABSA's client E/L Norman William Stephens.

The middle bedroom door and lock have been and remain damaged by the perpetrator/s.

Access was made through the trap door to the ceiling/attic where the geyser was maliciously damaged. Police suggested that the perpetrator/s are after the copper.

The ceiling in the "middle" bedroom was and remains damaged as the perpetrator/s tried to gain access to the locked middle bedroom through the ceiling.

On Sunday and Monday following the discovered break in we returned to check on ABSA's client's house there was further evidence that perpetrators had been back.

The home remains vulnerable and unsecured and according to police on the scene said perpetrators will return knowing the home is standing vacant full of contents and copper.

Evidence was also found of pages of a notepad that someone had lit inside the house and could have gone out on its own before potentially burning down the home!

It cannot yet be confirmed but it appears as if the solar panels pipes may have been tempered with!

As of this morning (11 October 2023) at 08:30 neither ABSA Insurance or ABSA have done anything about the break in, ABSA have not sent their assessor out, ABSA has not secured the home loaded with contents, ABSA has not repaired or replaced damaged doors or locks nor has ABSA done anything about the latent damages caused by the burglars.
