Classic ABSA

<p>I stand in their long queues at the Table View branch just to change the phone number attached to my account.<br />They still use the old number for everything including OTP<br />They didn't contact me last year when I needed to re-FICA my account. Instead just shut my account down and said nothing about it.<br />A few months back they call and leave a message on my landline to contact them at a certain date in the future, but don't leave a name. I contact on that date, they have no idea who I am or what is going on. <br />The "head of customer relations", to paraphrase her title, say she will contact me in 30 minutes to try resolve the issue. It's been 2 months.<br />Yesterday (21 September 2016) I get a letter telling me I need to re-FICA my account before the 15th of September 2016. <br />Which is impossible on both a legal and metaphysical level as I cannot go back in time and I re-FICA'd last year - it is meant to last for 5 years at least. From my understand, the FICA act doesn't even let that information expire, ABSA just do what they want.<br />They still don't even have my proper cellphone number even though I've stood in that ******* queue twice already, and the tellers say that it has been changed.</p>
