Claim ***

In January 2016 I logged a claim for dampness as well as walls cracking due to a tremor which was experienced in late 2015 with ABSA home insurance. I was informed that the claim would be looked at and that feedback would be given to me app. a week later. Two weeks later i had to call back just to be told an assessor would have to come out and inspect the property ,which by the way only happend again two weeks later after i called. His assesment was normal wear and tear which we found difficult to believe. We then again after numerous calls to ABSA was told to sent an e-mail to the action line which we did and they then sent the mail over to the ombudsman. Long story short the claim was rejected 4 months later. We proceeded to repair the house at our cost. This week a collegue at work has the same problem with dampness at her house and only after sending her to complaint to HelloPeter is her claim authorised. Now we ask what the hell? Could someone from ABSA kindly explain this to me urgently?
