Cheque Account handed over while i didnt even know i was owing them

i opened a cheque account with them and i stopped using it. they handed over without even telling me cause i didnt know the account was still active and it needed monthly fees even though i dont know what they are for since i havent been using it since July last year. they should have told me that i owe them before hanging my account.

that's i moved to capitec, cause you dont communicate with the client
