Chat wallet Nightmare

Absa chat wallet is a ****. What is the purpose of this wallet? Tried to send money to my son via cash send today 25/11/24 not aware that he is registered as a chat wallet contact. He only received notification that money has been deposited on his chat wallet, but didn't get an option to withdraw it.

He said he has never registered for this wallet account and doesn't even have a pin. He asked me reverse the transaction and do a normal cash send and I discovered that one can't reverse the transaction, and also discovered that his number is already registered as an wallet contact,which means every cash send for him will go to his WhatsApp. He never received the money and he is going to the bank tomorrow to help him with the pin to access this account and get the money, and also remove his number from this chat wallet account.
