Charges on an account we were told had no charges

Hello Peter, please assist me. I and a group of other ladys have a club account at ABSA which we've had for over 5 years. When we opened the account we were told that there are no charges on this account but this year January there was a deduction of R1560.90 and thereafter in March R107 and R84.50 and another R17.00 and in April R51.5 and another R113.00. In total we were charged R1933.00 on an account which is not supposed to have any charges and when we went to Scottburgh Mall Branch we spoke to a lady who is T Naidoo who said we should have been notified by the consultant who helped us with a notice to withdraw that we did in December and we told that the consultant never mentioned anything to us. We asked that the charges be reversed as we were never given an opportunity to choose whether or not we want to keep the account or not. T Naidoo said she'd get back to us with regards to reversing the charges and she did and said the charges will not be reversed. Please help as these monies don't just belong to the signatories but also belong to the members who are demanding the money back.
