charge R1000 to enquire on a settlement amount

we are looking into maybe purchasing a new car and the dealership enquired on a settlement amount, first of all we were sent the wrong one then they eventually sent the correct details then want to charge us R1000 just for the enquiry, never have we ever had that nonsense with any other ban****its outrageous and if this is the case we will be changing banks and not do vehicle finance through absa again!!!
