CARD REPORTED AS LOST ****** WHILE TRAVELLING ABROAD

A number of years ago I left South Africa with my Virgin Money Card.

8 years ago, to be more specific.

I was drawing money in Malta at an HSBC bank ATM in order to get cash to take a bus back to my work destination.

The ATM retained my card without warning, and when I enquired to get it back, I was told by the bank staff that the card was destroyed by the ATM.

The events that followed caused me stress, injury and a job.

I reported the unfortunate incident to Virgin Money and their reply was so blond that i decided not to pay the money back that I owe on the card. Until today Virgin Money has not made a single attempt to apologies to me about the incident.

I would like to know if I am supposed to be listed by them for life for their mistakes
