Car insurance claim taking too long for a dicision

Took out car insurance (FSP) through absa on my mahindra bakkie, my son had an accident on April this year. Lodged a claim with my insurer and the service has not been at all to my satisfaction. For any updates i have to call them myself they don't even bother. It has been six months now and i am still waiting for a decision on my claim. i am currently struggling without transport as this was my only mode of transport and at my age, public transport is not an option. As i have taken insurance through you bank(Absa), please help me get this resolved. Six months is long enough await for a decision.
