BUSINESSSES. DON'T BANK WITH ABSA

As the former chairman of a small Body Corporate who resigned almost 2 years ago following the sale of my unit, I have been trying to change the signatory on the account at ABSA. The new chairman of the BC is semi-resident in the UK and due to covid was unable to come to a branch to complete these formalities. Following two visits to the Randburg branch when they promised to come back to me with a solution I have received no communication. This person is just passing through SA today and I tried to make an appointment for us to go on Wednesday to complete the formalities. The Business Manager at Randburg is not available on Wednesday so I asked that an appointment be made at the closest branch. I am told that NOBODY is available at Cresta, Northcliff, Randburg,Randpark Ridge and only Northgate is available. I find it unacceptable that these branches do not have a deputy business manger and that I must travel about 10kms to do this simple transaction when I have 3 branches much closer.
