Broken Dream
No integrity in line with TV adverts re ABSA home loans. Gross incompetence appears to be the order of the day when applying for a new home loan as a self employed professional with a solid banking record and credit worthy record with the same bank. Three months ago I was approved for credit on a new SUV for an amount of R 300,000 over 72 months. I was approved for a million rand bond grant less than 12 months ago which I turned down. Now I have been declined by the same bank for a mortgage bond application of R 700,000 on the basis that my taxable assessed by SARS income does not match my total company drawings for the same period. Most banks understand that when you are self employed that your business picks up non taxable expenses. ABSA I'm afraid are one of those banks that do not apply a fair process nor do they try to understand their respective client profile when he or she is self employed and wishes to apply for a home loan. In my case, further support for my new home loan that does not make sense is that I have bought a new home in a good area for R 2,200,000 put down a deposit of R 1,500,00 and have a track record of 16 years...now sadly have a broken dream...
