BOND IN ARREARS DUE TO CHANGE IN PMT DATE

So my Bond was up to date. Due to payments coming in late every month and me being worried it will impact my credit record, I requested from Absa so rather change my due date to the 15th of every month.

On Monday I received a call from Absa stating my account is in arrears. I have explained to the consultant that I already made pmt and that my bond is up to date. She promised to look into it and get back to me, but nothing happened.

Today my wife contacted Absa again to try and sort it out. We have been advised that we were suppose to make a payment again before the 15th. They basically wanted 2 pmts in one month. Instead of making my pmt date later they made it earlier.

After advising the consultant they should then rather change it back, he advised that we will still be in arrears as payment was expected by the 15th. Needless to say the consultant does not understand that we have been up to date before the change, but Absa now expect two pmts in one month, which is not possible.

Now my credit record is affected, im in arrears according to Absa and Absa could not care less.

If this is not sorted urgently I will refer the matter to the Banking ombud.
