Bond

My husband passed away on 19th June 2014, after having suffered with cancer. For the past few years even during his illness as well as before, the bond has been deducted monthly from my cheque account at Absa, as he was unemployed before his illness. He passed away at age 66. This account has never ever been in arrears and has always been paid on due date. I am married in community of property which makes the property half mine. They have refused me further finance. As we had no policies, any extra money we had paid all our extra medical bills due to his 3 year illness, still I never defaulted on one payment, and have still been servicing the bond punctually. THEY HAVE NOW DEMANDED THE FULL OUTSTANDING BALANCE. I have banked with them since they were Trust Bank +- 40 years, as long as I have been married. Also bought vehicles, had credit cards etc with them, all handled well, which are now paid up. Just a note to let all you people out there know,THERE IS NO LOYALTY.I love my home have lived there since 1988, and am very despondent, besides losing my life partner I now have to contend with ABSA WANTING TO PUT ME OUT MY HOME.
