Blocking card. leaving me stranded.

I had to travel to Nelspruit on Friday. when I tried to put petrol in my car I was told my card was declined.<br> I had to phone my mother to drive 30 Km's to bring me money to pay for the petrol.<br> <br> I drive to Nelspruit, I stopped to get some food because I logged onto my account and saw I had more than enough funds in my account. to my surprise my card did still not go through. so I had to pay for my lunch with change I had.<br> <br> I went to a absa branch in Nelspruit only to be told my account has blocked with transactions because I need to fica my account.<br> <br> I had no warning about this and find it absolutely appalling that the bank that is supposed to help you decides they do not care if you need access to your money and will simply block your account.<br> <br> You can expect this account to be closed as soon as it is possible.
