Billed for insurance that i have no information on
Hello Peter,
i have never been so dissappointed by absa VAF, they called me to confirm if i have car insurance since they are financing my car, and requested proof on insurance, i sent that proof however this insurance was only starting on the 26th August 2017. However i called my insurance company and requested them to move the initiation of the insurance to the 26 septemeber 2017 DUE TO NOT HAVING ENOUGH FUNDS TO PAY THEM ON THE MONTH OF AUGUST and my insurance is R660p/m. So then ABSA VAF decided on its own to give me their own insurance, which i do not know what it covers, which i do not know the terms and Conditions nor the name of the insurance which costs R1100 or more. So this morning i wake up to my car finance debit order being changed from R2670 to R3677.87. Now i need to also pay my new insurance but i have no money because absa VAF decided to feed themselves from my last cents. Tell me what kind of customer service is this? Should a customer be forced to take up insurance without knowing the terms and conditions? Should i have an accident now, will they cover my car without even a pre-inspection of the car? Do they even know if this car still exists? Or maybe i should also consult the ombudsmen and get to understand if this is how customers should be treated?
