Beyond frustrated with Absa Bank

My Barclays credit card was delivered on 6 March 2017 at my house by courier to whom I gave copies of my ID and proof of residence. After being told my proof of residence was not acceptable, I've called Absa countless times by phone, I've complained by email, I've visited the bank in person four times and I've sent at least three personal statements of stores every week with my name and address on them, as well as an affidavit from the police station in which my husband declares under oath that I actually live with him at the address I supp**** when I app**** for the card and lastly, I've managed to get a Tshwane city council account with my name and residential address on it., No one comes back to you , I have to keep contacting the bank only to get conflicting views. One call centre operator said, my fica documents are in order but now suddenly my Id document is too late, but I can't help it, because my photo is too light on teh original document. So, now I'm back to square one. Where do I get a darker ID photo at the drop of a hat. The cherry on the pie is that I've had to pay a service fee of R40 but have received no service yet as I can't use the card at all. Of course, everyone apologises profusely and promise to "escalate" (nice buzz word, but meaningless). It is practically impossible (certainly in my case) to get these cards activated! Why issue them in the first place then?? What do I do now except cancel the card?????
