Beware!!! Unauthorized debit orders with ABSA... ABSA SUCKS!!!
I had an unauthorized debit order that took place last night on my cheque account, R99.00 EXTERNAL UPS NCONNUPS15_3417. Tried to contact ABSA this morning to find out how this was possible. I was holding for over 20mins with no assistance.
Thankfully I reversed the debit order online.
Scary to think how poor ABSA's security is if anyone can arrange a debit order so easily.
Who is to say it wont take place again. ABSA is yet to get back to me to assist me that this will not be repeated.
I have been banking with ABSA since 2006. I no longer have the trust to have my money with them.
Is it not safe to bank with ABSA?
