Beware ABSA deducts insurance without your concent!!!

I've purchased my car 3 years back with ABSA and insured my car immediately. Proof being sent to ABSA. With my November 2017 premium ABSA added R500 extra. I contacted them and was informed I never sent them proof of my insurance recently therefore they added insurance on my policy on my behalf. I asked the call centre lady on 13 November 2017 when did ABSA consult me on this matter and was informed they contacted me once on my cell phone. The "posted" a letter in August 2017. I live in Deneysville, I don't get my post. On my policy record I stipulated that ALL correspondence must be sent to my email. Not ONCE did ABSA send me an SMS or Email regarding the proof they require for my short term insurance. They didn't even contact my work number. How can you assume I don't have cover if not ALL the correspondence avenues was tried. I have two children and in today time and age budgeting is essential. ABSA deducted R500 and some of my other bills were paid short because of this. Shocking!!! Didn't know ABSA had the right to deduct ANY additional costs on my policies without my consent. I feel that I have no rights at all. ABSA can do as they please, add, deduct on my policy without me giving consent. I am just so disappointed that a financial institution can take advantage like this and nobody protecting my rights as a consumer. Furthermore the last statement I received from ABSA was August 2017. There is no communication from them at all!! Can't wait until I am done with them!!
