Being charged interest on interest paid

Absa Student loans must be abolished or even considered a *******, I took this loan in 2016 - 2018 and in all these years I was told I am services the interest on this loan which I did without fail then from 2020 I started paying the capital amount but suprise suprise! I am still charged interest again. I have made enquiries and sent emails for the to clarify this issue for me now it seems everyone is hiding behind covid-19 no one can explain what is happening, if you call you get cut off on email your query gets allocated a reference and that someone will get back to you but nothing.
