Be careful of Greenstone ABSA unless you have a whole day
I am at Greenstone branch. The service is so slow that to collect a card can take hours. I experienced that on 30 August 2025 when I went to collect my wife's card. Something in an envelope which should take 2 minutes took over an hour and a half. Then I went on 4 September to collect my sons card and let's put this in perspective, my older son opened an FNB account at the same time we were waiting to collect a card. And he still beat us to it. Absa is a joke. I regret opening a private account and account for my kids. Should have stuck with FBB

04 Sept 2025, 14:36I went to the ATM after collecting the card for my son and it said chip damaged. I actually ripped the card and gave it back because I was not prepared to go through the card issue again so I ripped the card, gave it back to the reception and opened an FNB account which literally took 15 minutes to open and a 10 minutes wait
