Bank sms not the same as on statements

I would like to find out if anyone is experiencing the same issues as I am.

On the 30th of September I bought medication at my local pharmacy, I paid with my card as I always do, and received my sms notification as I normally do. I follow my available balance on my phone as I make payments throughout the month.

I bought medication today and noticed that my available balance have drasticly changed from what I had before. I went to the bank and got a statement to see what might have happened on my account. I had all my sms history of transactions on my phone, however the transaction history on the statement differed.

I noticed that R881.00 I paid for my medication on the 30th went down only today the 6th of October? According to my sms history, the payment had been made on the 30th, however according to the statement, no transactions took place on the 30th?

The bank manager tried to explain it all to me, however to me it made no sense. The amount on my sms notification changed my available balance and I follow only my sms notification when using my card. She explained to me that the balance wasn't effected on the statement since I had made no payment on that day. Welllll here I am with a double deduction on my sms notification, and only one on my statement. I have my slip, sms history, pharmacy slip and transactions history in my hand and still it doesn't add up.

I don't know how one can follow your banking info on your phone day by day regarding your available balance and sit with a bank statement that doesn't add up the same history.
