Bank not adhere to CGC's rules
2nd complaint after the 1st was not resolved as promised. We bought a 2nd hand vehicle from a dealer in Sandton in August. We were **** to and the vehicle was not in the condition we were promised. They promised it's spotless with no damages, almost new with barely 6000km on. Car arrived in Paarl on 10/09. After getting it cleaned profesionally on 20/9 did we find that the car was in some kind of accident, with extensive damage that was VERY poorly repaired. After several complaints to the dealer and Absa, both refuse to help and refuse to cancel the deal. We do NOT want the car. According to the CGC we have 6 months in which, should we feel we did not receive what we paid for, it can be returned for a full refund, without any recourse. Absa is the title holder and thus the final seller of the vehicle. We want to return the car to the bank but they refuse and keep saying we have to speak to the dealer. This is unacceptable. After my first review of Absa, Mr Chauke rep**** immediately with a promise of final feedback by the 18th, then again by the 20th. I'm still waiting.
