Bank Charges Dispute - ABSA Not Complying with Ombudsman

I had taken up a dispute regarding bank charges with the Ombudsman. I received a letter from the Ombudsman on 21 March 2020 indicating that Absa has agreed to refund me a specified amount as settlement of the matter. I had written to Absa on 25 March 2020 to follow up on the matter but to date have not received any feedback on how the amount will be paid. How can one trust a bank that fails to honour their own words from an Ombudsman report? If you are with Absa, you should immediately consider an alternate bank as they do not honour their word.

Dear Rezona,

In a private message you responded by saying that I should consult with the Ombudsman. Why don't you understand that Absa's finality of the matter with the Ombudsman is to refund me the amount stated in the outcome reached with the Ombudsman? Why must I further contact the Ombudsman when Absa itself concluded to refund me the amount indicated in the Ombudsman's letter? It has been months & I have not received the amount. Why won't Absa pay the amount to me as indicated in the Ombudsman's letter?
