Bank Charges

Being in these difficult financial times that we find ourselves it would be nice to bank with a bank that is looking out for your financial interest. 13 Dec 2017 a friend transferred R200 into my Bank account to assist me with some finances as I eagerly awaited for the transfer it was immediately taken for "bank charges" leaving me with not a single cent to get me through the few days to the next pay day. 15 January 2018 again I had R1000 transferred into my account all of which was budgeted for, the second the money transferred Absa helped themselves to R575.56 of it for yet again "bank charges" this was the only money that I had to get me through to the end of this month for my basic living expenses (petrol, food etc) it's a long time before the next pay day so when your Bank just helps themselves whenever to your money it puts you at a huge disadvantage. How would Absa suggest I now get to work for the rest of the month without petrol money and what would they like me to eat not to mention unexpected expenses that come up so I went into the Eastgate Branch and waited 40 minutes to see a consultant and asked if they could reverse the money and take the fees off at the end of the month when there is money in the account, only to get told, sorry we can't do that, it's bank expenses and that's how they operate.

I do not feel like my bank is looking out for my best interest and managing my money and am seriously considering closing my account and looking else where. Your disregard for humanity is disgusting.
