Bad Service with Absa

Today I went to ABSA Northgate to renew my debit card/savings card. I was told that the card will be ready on the 18th December, and snap... the person just broke my card in two. The result is that I cannot draw cash for 6 days and that during the month of December when you want to spend some money on Christmas. This is just unacceptable because the last time I renewed a card there was no waiting period and everything was handled in a few minutes. Now I am virtually without money because I do not use third party "services". After this incident and a basic deterioration in services, my wife and I am seriously considering moving our money to a new venue after years of dealing with Absa.
