Bad service from Ladybrand branch manager- money not accessible
Absa, since when do you discriminate against a new / prospective client because of the person's appearance or dress code? is there a dress code for someone to be taken seriously and offered a service at ABSA? Are your managers now psychologists or can assess a person's medical condition just by looking at them, then decide not to offer them any service? Well this is what the branch manager at your Ladybrand branch did. My uncle was forced to go to Ladybrand branch after a cooperative bank had transferred his large some of money to ABSA. The Cooperative bank which transferred the money confirmed the transfer was done, money was received by ABSA but because this was a new account to be activated on the transfer, the branch manager after sending my uncle and family from pillar to post for his money, only when called my the cooperative bank, did they confirm that the money was received but my uncle looked medically impaired therefore they did release the money. 1. If this rude, condescending and disrespectful manager thought that, why didn't he call the wife/ relatives who had accompanied by uncle at that time to share his concerns, why didn't he call the transferring bank, hell why didn't they even call a doctor to assess the status? 2. The transferring bank has even now offered to go to ABSA to find out why this money is not being released- does it really have to come to that?! 3. Who will now be responsible for all the transport costs they incurred? 4. After the treatment and bad service does ABSA expect them to keep his money there?
