Bad service

I have a credit card with ABSA then in 2017 I lost my job then after I lost my job I then went to ABSA branch to inform them that I am no longer working then I was advised to bring all the relevant documents as they will be sent to ABSA credit card department and I did that.After few months I was contacted by lawyers who said ABSA has handed over my credit card to them I did advice those lawyers that I submitted all the papers to ABSA as they said I should send them and every month I was paying insurance on that credit card so the insurance is supposed to cover when I loose my job.i even sent the documents to those lawyers.so can I please get help as this credit card is now affecting my credit score.
