Bad service
My card got stopped by someone else and they can's even tell me who or why? Obviously no identification was required! Now I have to find time to go in to sort this mess out! Very disappointed in ABSA!

07 Jun 2018, 20:04Good evening Claudette, sorry for only replying now. Let me explain the whole story, my fiance lost his wallet last week and he had to cancel the cards that were in the wallet, so he went alone Saturday morning to ABSA in Faerie glen at the Pick n pay. There was a lady who assisted him in stopping the cards and arranged for him to get new cards. The next day we went shopping and my card wasn't working so I phoned ABSA because it says my card has expired and it made no sense. So they told me that my card had been stopped, but I never requested anything of the sort. So I phoned the Absa branch where he went and the manager was rude and only told me that it was IMPOSSIBLE for them to stop a card in the bank, it had to be phoned in and the more I told her that we never phoned in, the more she said that it was impossible for them to stop the card from inside the bank. I was highly upset and wanted to know how this could happen without my authorization, so if she claims that I phoned then I want the recording of my voice telling them those exact words. I am very busy and don't have time for stuff like this, now I have to go back into the branch and take my time to get a new card for a blocked card that I never requested? My details are Amelia Dreyer and my ID number is ***. Please resolve the matter because it seems like they don't know what they're doing.
