BAD CUSTOMER SERVICES DUE TO DEBIT ORDER SWITCHING

I opened my cheque account at Absa Malmesbury on the 25 September 2015. Sales consultant spoke to me and explained how account works and I agreed. My problem that I have is with the debit order switching. The lady who open my account said she will send the application for them to switch my debit orders. When hearing nothing from the branch I've phoned the branch but the Consultant was busy, the lady who answered the phone said she will gave the consultant the message but she did not come back to me, I had to phone again for service. They did not do anything about my debit orders, they only acted after I phoned and that was on the 21st of October. My question why did the consultant not follow up. My account is now in arreas with almost R300, because of somebody who did not follow up and who was only after the sale of opening an account. You can change debit orders up until 5 days of running, so if they send the request through in the beginning of the new month I don't think it would have been a problem. I am very upset, this left a bitter taste in my mouth, I want to close my bank account and I'm not going to pay for the cherges.
