Bad credit rating for my deceased husband?

<p>I imagine that ABSA has many automated systems, but I think that when it comes to the passing of a loved one, special care should be taken. My late husband had a credit card with ABSA. I don't have access to his statements, or know how to make those repayments. Instead of sending me a sympathetic letter explaining what needs to happen next, ABSA found it necessary to inform me that my husband will be given a bad credit rating. I understand, ABSA needs to recover their money, but is it really necessary to be so cold?</p>
