Bad and Horrible experience with ABSA

Ref. C-***8 I have been a client of ABSA Bank for more that 20 years. During the month of February 2025, I went to make a study loan for my son at ABSA Bank. After submitting the required documents during my application, after some days, a consultant from ABSA called me requesting a proof of registration for my son and the university only gave me a letter of interned for registration because he is currently is forth year at the same institution.

After some days a consultant from ABSA called to tell me that my loan has been declined because i did not submit proof of registration from the university. I did lodge a complain to Hello Peter and after a day of submission to Hello Peter, I received a call from ABSA branch Manager, telling me a different story to say my loan application was declined because of my affordability.. On 24/02/205, an ABSA consultant called me and I explained my experience and bad treatment from ABSA, I was under the impression that she will would help me to find out and explain to me in detail about my affordability but that did not materialized, the only respond that i got later in the evening of 24/02/2025 was that my case was closed. My experience with ABSA currently is that it is really a bad and horrible institution or it has employed bad employees. Now i had to look for a study loan from another bank and I was granted a loan from the bank and the money has been paid into my son`s university.
