AVAF needs to train their consultants and pay my fine.
So, due to the lockdown and stuff, I missed 2 payments on my AVAF.
No problem, I am happy to pay the outstanding instalments. ABSA contacted me 2 times, the first time, the consultant argued with me regarding the amount outstanding, and hung up. the second time, well, the consultant was in the midst of discussing when I should be making the payment. and just, randomly hung up. for no reason. No confirmation or consent was in fact given. no final arrangement was made. No attempt to call me back again was made either.
Because of this, a debit order was in fact set for today (which I obviously was not aware of) and of course, not enough money was available to debit.
The debit order bounced. due to this, ABSA's AVAF department cost me R1265.00 fine.
This is simply rude and unfair.
I repeat, I was happy to pay the outstanding instalments. One would however appreciate a confirmation/follow-up of sorts to prevent unnecessary distress to your clients.
