avaf

I volunteered to have my car repossessed in 2020 as i was no longer working and could not afford my monthly installments. Absa than came through to take the car of which they would auction it. A year later i recieved an sms message in May that i would be offered 60% discount to payoff the remaining balance, I than called Absa and spoke to a lady by the name of Mapule to ask about the sms. She than told me shes offering me discount to pay off my debt. My concern was I had the car repossessed as I was no longer working and know how will i even be able to pay discount. I than asked her how long is the offered discount and she said doesnt know but she will make it until the end of month, I was not even given 30days instead Mapule just decided. Last week I recieve a from Desire Ramogopa telling me shes calling from Absa and need to make payment arrangements me. She didnt even mention the outstanding debt. I then told her to refer to my conversation I had with Mapule. To make things worse her comments on the phone were so rude and when i tried to explain to her that nobody from Absa is telling what happened to the car or not even discount that was offered or even does Absa consider the fact that the country is in an pandemic and most people have lost jobs. I than processed with the call and asked her numerous time if she would at least talk me in the right manner. she said i need to pay my previous monthly installment of R3200 how is that possible when i had volunteered to have the car repossessed cause i could not afford. I told her i can afford R100 and she later send me Absa Avaf banking details. A day later I get an sms from Gladsy reading as follows: " Miss Gcabashe, an urgent payment required towards your 12 bmw 118i 5dar A/T (F20) or contact Gladys on *** for payment arrangement" Now exactly how do I respond to this if I told someone from Absa same team from the previous people that I will pay R100 per month. Its really dissppointing that Absa clients are not heard out there. To make things I called late last year to ask for the car has been sold and they said No, I then called again when I got the first sms from Mapule. So clearly all the effect and time I took to call to get assist from Absa to come repossess the car and I still called again to ask the process and up to date im getting no assist. And with all this and sms I get theres no reference numbers thus on the first call I made Mapule had to thumb stuck how long is the offer.
