ATM's mostly out of order
So again I have to write about ABSA's ATM's that have some glitch just when you need it the most. I needed a bank confirmation letter for my mom urgently and went to the MAIN branch in eMalahleni at Saveways Crescent but when I got there they only have 2 ATM's which can do all transactions (why the third one is one of the old useless ones, boggles my mind as the branch was redone recently and instead of improving, they went backwards!) When I wanted to get the letter printed, I got a error message about some technical problem, so I tried the other one with the same results. I don't live in town ant needed to do some business along the way before 16:00, so I went inside to enquire about the ATM problem. I was told to wait in the queue, where more than 10 persons were already waiting and also told that because I have to do it inside, it would cost my mom admin fees. Now this is what upsets me the most - Absa's ATM';s are out of order a lot of times which force the customers to do their business inside which results in Admin (HIGHER) fees, which I feel is not fair as it is THEIR atm's which is out of order regularly. I then asked to speak to the manager, was sent outside with somebody to assist me three times, but every time they leave before the message appear on the screen, this wasted more of my time. Eventually when I became really upset as my time was running out, Somebody inside said she will print it for me, which took another about 7 minutes. SO to get a letter which should have taken less than 2 minutes, took me almost 30 minutes. So I logged a complaint on their site with MY name and contact details, nothing about my mom as it was ME having the problem and ME having to wait, but eventually the branch manager contacted my mom!!! When I phoned them yesterday they pretended as if it was my mom who lodged the complaint and I told them if they don't contact me before 9 today, I'll post on Hello peter as according to me, this is a general ATM problem and not a branch problem. Needless to say they didn't contact me. So PLEASE ABSA, get your technicians to do their job properly or give them proper training because this is getting worse and worse.
