ATM security non existent

my experience with absa brooklyn's ATM's leads me to warn customers about the security which seems to be non existent around ATM's in general as if nothing can go wrong there....this is a myth ....what happened at absa brooklyn was that an ATM was hacked in a way where my card was swallowed...the branch was closed being on a Sunday...so i could not report it...no security was in site....the next thing that happened was money was drawn from my account ...the only way this could happen was that my pin was photographed and my card was retrieved from the ATM and used....this kind of hacking of an ATM is common knowledge and should be prevented by the bank's security ....customers can not be expected to inspect an ATM before they use it .....that's why we rely on the bank's security
