Arrears on account and VERY rude and unhelpful employee

Someone just phoned me, supposedly from ABSA however she did not confirm her name or credentials at all. Just said that my car laon shows it is in arrears. When questionning why the debit orders are not going off as there is funds available she became VERY confrontational and although she was rude since the call began it escalated tremendously. Suddenly I was the one being threatened with repossession off my vehicle because I refuse to pay...!!!??? She told me that she will contact repossessions immediately and note it that I am not willing to make a payment. Even more confrontation when I said she is very rude, she told me I am being rude as well. Uhm, I'm being threathened with repossession while I have NO idea what is going on. She also threatened ending the call, when I tried to get a word in... "Ma'am, Ma'am, Ma'am" she just kept on talking over me and then ended the call.

What the HELL!!! I would love to know if this was a hacker or something pretending to be from ABSA to get information, because this is how it seemed... If not, and it was actually an employee from ABSA phoning... WOW! Then it is unacceptable and very dissapointing!!!

Dear Claudette,
Please note that I am still being harrased by apparent ABSA employees. Just now a Andre de Beer also phoned and started threatening me with repossession of my vehicle. I kindly asked that he addresses all communication via email as I have never even received a statement regarding my vehicle loan or any evidence or communication regarding arrears on my account. He then required personal information from me, and when I said you can refer to your system if in fact he is an ABSA employee he became even more threatning and had a bad attitude. I then asked him to identify himself that I can actually verify that he is indeed phoning from ABSA. After numerous attempts to get this information he finally gave his full name as stated and his employee number as ********** .
This is getting rediculous. Respect and ability to communicate well with clients is clearly lacking at ABSA. How is it 'customer service' to speak to a client in such a manner.
Kind regards
