Appointment needed to see private banking consultant

So I app**** for a private banking account with Absa online and received emails to email them my documents. After emailing it to them and not receiving any emails I decided to go to the Fordsburg Branch to submit my documents. The consultant decided to open up a Gold Cheque account for me. After querying and asking that I needed private banking. They said I need to make an appointment with their “private banker”. I decided to go to fnb and immediately they opened up private wealth account for me.

All I need from Absa is to close off my Absa account please. I don’t wish to bank with you and I don’t want to incur any charges having your account.
